About the creator

Dr. Clifford C. Smith, known as Cliff, has practiced and taught Transcendental Meditation, yoga and subtle energy healing for more than five decades, and has been a student and practitioner of Jyotish for more than 37 years. He has devoted his life to spiritual pursuits, traveling throughout the US, Europe, India and Asia to conduct healing tours and to study with spiritual and religious teachers, Yoga Masters and master healers.

He trained personally with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, becoming a teacher of Transcendental Meditation. His other teachers include Dr. Willard Fuller of Florida, an interfaith Christian minister world famous for his spiritual dental healings and founder of the Lively Stones Fellowship; Swami Kaleshwar of Penukonda, India, known for his powerful mantra healing teachings; and Swami Vishwanath Saraswati, regarded as the fifth incarnation of Lord Dattatreya and another powerful mantra healer. It was Swami Vishwanath who gave him the spiritual name Mahayogi.

His system of Mahayogi Ankha Jyotish is a unique union of mostly traditional Vedic astrology with a special numerology-based casting formula. It came from deep meditative study and the recognition of a mathematical correlation between the constructs of Nature and the Vedic literature.
